Medics without Vacation developed a new strategy for strengthening the capacity of hospitals in the South. This strategy is based on the model of the '5 Core Capabilities, this is an analytical framework that allows to look at the capacity of an organization in a systematic way. ACE Europe supports a pilot with five hospitals in DR Congo, Burundi and Rwanda. The mission of ACE Europe is: to support the team in refining the strategy and in applying the model and supporting the development of tools and templates for the formulation and monitoring of capacity building processes with the partner hospitals. The approach was introduced during a seminar in Burundi.
