Year: 2022 | Topic: Local development and local governance
The second LOGOReP programme focuses on Iraqi Kurdistan (Erbil and environs) and there are plans to extend it to Federal Iraq (Ninaveh). The programme is funded by the Dutch government (€3.2 million).
LOGORePII aims to improve the resilience of host communities and refugees in Iraq. It revolves around two specific objectives: (1) basic service delivery: improved access of host communities, displaced people and refugees to basic services and (2) job creation: improved access of host and refugee populations to employment and/or business development. The first objective is mainly implemented by VNGi; the second by DRC.
The evaluation assessed the progress towards the achievement of the planned objective and results, by looking into four
OECD-DAC criteria (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the programme). Moreover, it also sought to provide recommendations for improvement.
